Since 1996, I have dedicated myself to the practice of homeopathy, driven by a deep curiosity and a belief in the healing power of nature. My journey into this field began during my undergraduate studies at King’s College London, where I pursued a Joint Honours Degree in Physiology and Pharmacology. As part of my academic research, I focused on the herb ‘feverfew’ and its potential in treating migraines. This work was significant enough to be published in ‘The British Journal of Pharmacology’. However, I soon realised that my passion lay in working directly with people rather than focusing solely on the scientific aspects of medicine.
My interest in homeopathy was piqued when I encountered a description of it as ‘absurd’ in my pharmacology textbook. Additionally, a psychometric analysis suggested that a career as a homeopath would suit my personality perfectly. After earning my BSc., I made a pivotal decision to forgo a funded PhD opportunity, instead, I chose to retrain as a homeopath at The College of Homeopathy in London, completing their intensive three-year full-time course.
Since qualifying in 1996, I have enjoyed a fulfilling career, practicing and teaching homeopathy in various settings. My experience spans clinics, charitable organisations, home visits, and more recently, online consultations, allowing me to connect with clients from around the globe. In 2003, I furthered my qualifications by obtaining a Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) in Post-Compulsory Education and Training.
More recently, in 2022, while teaching at The Southern College of Homeopathy, I had a surprising and delightful encounter, I was recognised as the DJ from a Winter Solstice party, an event where I moonlight, using music as a remedy to bring joy and healing to others. This dual role as a homeopath and DJ embodies my belief in the holistic approach to wellness, where both natural remedies and the healing power of music play a crucial part.
